BITSAT is the entrance exam administered by BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) Pilani for engineering aspirants who are hoping to get admission into its campuses for top engineering courses. BITS Pilani is regarded by many to be the top private engineering college in the country. It is also one of the toughest engineering colleges to get into. It is known for its world class campus facilities, top notch infrastructure, diverse student base, and esteemed faculty members. It has 3 campuses in India, that is, in Pilani (Rajasthan), Goa, and Hyderabad (Telangana). Every year, lakhs of students register and appear for BITSAT (BITS Aptitude Test) in the hopes to get into one of its prestigious college campuses. The fact that it has just 3 campuses makes it even more difficult to get into and BITSAT even more competitive.

One of the most commonly asked questions about engineering in India is: JEE Main or BITSAT – which one of these exams is tougher? Now, based on the experiences of students who have appeared for both the entrance exams in the past, BITSAT is a little bit tougher. That may be due to two possible reasons. First of all, BITSAT has two additional subjects besides Physics, Chemistry, and Math, that is, Verbal Reasoning and Logical Reasoning, which most students find difficulty in or totally avoid answering. These two sections combined carry 75 marks for 25 questions, the loss of which can cost a student thousands of ranks! Secondly, BITSAT is conducted by BITS Pilani and not by CBSE as is the case with JEE so when it comes to JEE, the students are used to the syllabus (which is the same as the CBSE 10+2 syllabus), exam pattern, frequently asked questions, study materials, etc. With BITSAT, however, it is a completely new battlefield, so to speak. This is why we usually don’t see students appearing for BITSAT as much as for JEE. Even the ones who do actually prepare and appear for JEE first before attempting BITSAT.

To crack BITSAT 2017 in the last week of preparation, you need to muster up all the focus and concentration that you can to beat the exam. First, get all the facts right about the syllabus. Once that is verified, get down to identifying the BITSAT most important chapters and topics. Find out what your strengths and weaknesses by regular practice and solving mock tests. Solving previous years’ papers is one of the most effective ways to not just clear an exam but to also knock it out of the park. Make sure you solve BITSAT Question Paper Of 2016 in particular.

While most students ignore Verbal and Logical Reasoning, your ability to crack these two sections can even shake the top rankers from their place! Do not push them to the last minute but devote a few days to crack these two sections of the BITSAT paper and you will not regret it. In BITSAT, the level of difficulty is not very high in PCM which is why your performance in Verbal and Logical Reasoning will make or break your BITSAT score!
