Although potatoes are outlawed on the paleo diet, some experts say that they are okay to eat them as long as you earn them through your exercises. In the paleo diet, honey is preferred to artificial sweeteners and table sugar. Alcohol is something else that is discouraged in the paleo diet; however, red wine is the closest option there is to a paleo drink.
