Search filter for articles: miscellaneous

If you apply the filter for duplicate filtering, you are presented with two options. By selecting the first one “Show only articles that are not duplicates”, you will only obtain news articles with content that has not yet been reported by any previous news sources (like Associated Press). If you choose the second option, “Show only articles that are duplicates,” you will only see articles whose content is (almost) identical to that of some news articles that have already been published. You can determine which article is a duplicate of the selected one by clicking the “this article” link in the summary of the news article at the bottom right. Event filtering for articles
By applying filter “Show only articles assigned to an event”, you will limit your search results to the news articles referencing a major global event which was reported by many news outlets.
If you choose “Show only articles not assigned to an event,” your search results will only include news articles that have been formed in the Event Registry and are not associated with any event. These articles are more likely to not reference any major global events on which many news outlets already reported.
