Carrots also help in preventing night blindness. Relatively high levels of Vitamin C (an antioxidant) are essential for eyes. Oranges and other citrus fruits like grapefruit, tangerines, tomatoes and lemons — are high in Vitamin C.

Blueberries reduces eye fatigue. Apricots are rich in Beta carotene and lycopene both of which promote good vision. Strawberry and peach has similar benefits as oranges. Kiwis also help in keeping our eyes healthy.

Scientists suggests that diets rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acid reduces the risk of developing eye disease in later life and helps in developing clear eye sight. It is found in fishes like salmon, sardines, tunas, and halibut.

Antioxidant vitamins like A, C, E are essential for a healthy eye. These can be found in the food mentioned above. They can also be found in dairy products, nuts and eggs.
